Kylie Wicks
MN(Research), BHlth, DipAppSc(Nursing)
Kylie Wicks brings over 30 years of experience serving the disability community in both urban and remote areas across Australia. Her deep understanding of various funding bodies empowers her to guide clients through accessing the support they need to achieve the best possible health and lifestyle outcomes.
Kylie has developed and delivered nationwide training for healthcare professionals and disability support workers on evidence-based best practices for individuals with complex needs. She has also shared her expertise at national and international symposia.
With a Master of Nursing Research, Kylie actively participates in research that informs practical applications. Her keen insight has led to the development of clinical assessment tools that ensure product prescriptions align with the needs and lifestyle preferences of individuals.

Jake Abbott
Clinical Psychology Registrar
Jake has experience working with diverse demographics, including young people, families facing significant crises, and adults dealing with various presenting problems. Additionally, he has contributed to the ACU undergraduate psychology program through various teaching roles.
With a specific interest in trauma, Jake is interested in the intricate relationship between physical and mental well-being. He adopts a holistic perspective, recognizing the profound impact that physical health can have on mental health, and vice versa.
Jake has a particular interest in working with first responders and has completed advanced training in EMDR.

Jenny Cavanagh

Jenny completed her generalist nursing training at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Sydney. It was during this time, in a rotation through the Burns Unit, that her thirst for wound care began. She was invited and attended the first ever H.E.M.I run intensive wound care course which set her on her current path.
Jenny has held many positions including executive on the Wound Care Association of NSW, Wounds Australia (NSW) and the Australian and New Zealand Burns Association. She has presented at conferences locally, interstate and internationally winning the prestigious first ever British Burns Nurses prize for presenting at an international conference. Jenny has also written a number of articles over the years and even contributed to published books about wound care.
Jenny has been involved in designing programs and implementing Pressure Area Guidelines around the facilities she has worked in and the state. She led a team to win the Innovation in Healthcare Award in NSW for a program that is still run today.
For the past 23 years she has been working in community, always aiming to deliver best practice though knowledge of wound care products and adjunct therapies, advocating firmly on her patient’s behalf.
In her down time, you may find her in her happy place – skiing; or even on a NSW Rural Fire Service vehicle attending an incident, or teaching and assessing for that organisation.
